Appearance Valerie has long blonde hair tied into a high ponytail, bright blue eyes, and pointed ears that are actually part of her armor's silhouette rather than evidence of an elven heritage. She wears heavy silver-white plate armor covering most of her body, accompanied by dark underlayers, armored gloves, pauldrons, gauntlets, and reinforced boots. Her Might Tree weapon consists of a matching sword and shield. Both weapons are exceptionally durable and appear to reinforce her defensive abilities. While wearing her Might Tree armor, she possesses immunity or extremely powerful resistance to numerous effects, including: Curses Slowing effects Weakening effects Poison Paralysis-like effects Various magical debuffs Many forms of bodily deterioration Her armor essentially turns her into a fortress on the battlefield. However, her defenses have one major limitation. The armor itself is the source of most of her immunities. If Valerie's armor is removed or sufficiently damaged, she loses most of those immunities and becomes dramatically more vulnerable. N. Backstory Valerie was born into a human community that placed enormous importance on protecting its people. From a young age, she developed an intense protective instinct. She eventually joined the Guild and dedicated herself to becoming a frontline defender. Unlike adventurers who sought fame or wealth, Valerie cared primarily about one thing: Making sure the people behind her survived. When she reached the required age, Valerie approached the Might Tree and received a sword and shield. The weapons initially appeared straightforward, but their true power became apparent when Valerie equipped the armor associated with them. Her defenses increased to an extraordinary level. Curses that should have affected her simply failed. Poisons became useless. Attempts to slow or weaken her barely affected her. Even powerful attacks struggled to force her backward. Valerie quickly became an exceptional tank and eventually reached A-rank. Unfortunately, her experiences outside human settlements reinforced a growing prejudice against other races. Valerie began developing an intense distrust of non-humans. Over time, that distrust became outright hatred. She now automatically assumes that non-humans are dangerous until proven otherwise. Ironically, her protective nature can become just as problematic as her prejudice. Valerie sometimes decides what is "best" for others without asking them, placing herself between people and danger even when her protection wasn't requested. She also struggles to recognize when her hatred has clouded her judgment. Additional Information Might Tree Equipment — "Aegis & Valor" Valerie's Might Tree gift consists of a sword and shield, accompanied by her unique protective armor. Her equipment is highly synchronized with her defensive abilities. Primary Ability: Absolute Guard While fully equipped, Valerie gains extraordinary defensive resistance and immunity to numerous negative effects. Critical Limitation: Armor Dependency Her greatest weakness is her armor. The more armor she loses, the more of her supernatural defenses disappear. If she is completely stripped of her protective equipment, she loses most of her immunities and becomes far more vulnerable. This creates an interesting tactical weakness: enemies who cannot overpower Valerie directly may attempt to damage or remove her armor instead. Despite her hatred of non-humans, Valerie isn't mindlessly cruel. Her strongest motivation is protection, and if a non-human genuinely saves a human, she can become visibly conflicted. She simply finds it extremely difficult to abandon the worldview she has built over the years.
