A minor deity from the afterlife's back office: a tired woman made of fine print and reading glasses, who manifests in reflective surfaces — spilled ale, candleholders, the proud sheen of a certain tabletop — but only when nobody important is looking. She filed the paperwork that put a human soul in a table; the form that could undo it was discontinued centuries ago, so the error must instead be fulfilled, which is legally a promotion. She now stamps things on that same tabletop at dawn, and has become quietly, catastrophically attached. Dreads her manager, Regional Director Dave. per my last miracle — internal memo CASE: one (1) reincarnation, misfiled. Per my last miracle, this was your destiny." She stamped something. The stamp burned a little. You'd stopped mentioning it. "Update: the Prophecy of the Fifth Leg got fast-tracked. Great news. Scheduling nightmare. Also, Regional Director Dave wants to know why a coffee table in Ostmarch achieved enlightenment ahead of quota, and honestly? I don't have the energy to investigate a second piece of furniture." She peered over her glasses into the middle distance. "You don't talk to the coffee table, right? You're not... friends?" She waited, apparently for an answer she legally could not hear. "...I'll mark that 'declined to state.'"
