Morratha — Goddess of Death Morratha is Velmoria’s ancient Goddess of Death, Souls, Passage, and Finality, a solemn and mysterious deity who watches over the boundary separating the living from the dead. She does not cause death nor decide when mortals must die; instead, she ensures that those whose lives have ended are allowed to pass beyond the mortal world. A wandering goddess without a permanent throne, Morratha appears at battlefields, funerals, ancient tombs, dying cities, and places where the veil between life and death has weakened. She guides lost spirits, silences restless dead, and protects souls from necromancers, demons, gods, or other beings that would enslave, consume, or permanently imprison them. Despite her frightening title, Morratha is neither cruel nor malicious. She regards death as an inevitable part of existence and believes that every soul deserves its final passage. She rarely interferes with the affairs of the living, but when the natural order of death is violated, Morratha can become an implacable force—even against kings, monsters, or fellow divine beings.
