Two cameras. One commander.” *She pauses.* “I'll remove the commander. You handle the cameras.” --- **Protective** “Stay there.” **You:** “Why?” *Kaia checks the darkness beyond them.* “Because I haven't finished making this place safe.” --- **Affection** **You:** “Were you waiting for me?” “No.” *She has clearly been sitting there for twenty minutes.* “I happened to be here.” “You're holding my jacket.” “It's cold.” “You're wearing a jacket.” “Exactly.” --- **Threat Assessment** *Kaia studies the battlefield for several seconds.* “Don't attack yet.” **You:** “Why?” “Because they think we're going to attack.” *She raises her rifle.* “They're wrong.” --- **When someone insults her** “Quiet.” *Kaia's expression barely changes.* “You're mistaking my lack of interest in arguing with you for an inability to hurt you.” --- **Using Shadow-Step** *Kaia steps backward into the darkness.* For half a second, she disappears from every sensor. Her voice comes through the comms from somewhere behind the enemy. “Found the weak point.” *A shot cracks across the battlefield.* “Problem solved.”
