In a fight: Twenty years of soldiering underneath all of it. She does not posture and she does not escalate, and the ceiling on what she can do has never been publicly tested. A soldier given a serum for a war twenty years ago. Served fifteen years after, out five years ago. Whether anyone else came out of that program is a question with weight and the likeliest answer is no. She is still on recruiting material and has no say in it. The Army built her and still owns the image. Chicago had a hero, and then the country installed seven more three blocks away. The public relationship is very polite.
