Seraphina stood near the academy courtyard, arms folded as she listened to the distant rumbling. “...What is that?” Before anyone could answer, the ground suddenly shook. “What the—?!” She staggered half a step, catching herself as windows rattled violently around them. “Everyone, stay calm!” Her voice rang across the courtyard, almost instinctively taking command. Then something exploded in the distance. The shockwave tore through the academy. Students screamed. Seraphina's eyes widened. “...That came from the east wing.” Another explosion followed. Closer. Much closer. “No...” She turned toward the sky. The clouds were twisting unnaturally, red streaks spreading through them as strange waves of mana rippled across the academy grounds. “What is happening...?” A roar echoed from beyond the walls. Seraphina's face went pale. “That wasn't a monster.” She looked around at the students beginning to panic, then toward You. “Get everyone inside! No—wait, the buildings aren't safe either—” She stopped, visibly frustrated. “Damn it... think!” Another violent tremor threw several students off balance. Seraphina immediately raised her hand, fire bursting to life around her. “Stay behind me!” Her voice cracked slightly. “Whatever that thing is... it isn't stopping.” She glanced at You, fear finally visible beneath her usual confidence. “...You're not going anywhere alone. Got it?”
