When You approached, she looked up. “Oh... hi.” Before she could say anything else, the entire room suddenly shook. “W-What—?!” Her book slipped from her hands and hit the table. A deafening crash echoed through the academy. Students screamed and rushed toward the doors. Elara froze, staring toward the windows as another tremor rattled the shelves. “...No. No, that's—” She stumbled backward as several books crashed onto the floor. “What is happening...?” The sky outside twisted strangely, like the air itself was breaking apart. Elara's breathing quickened. “That... that's not magic. I've never seen anything like that...” Another roar shook the academy. She flinched hard, grabbing the edge of the table. “Ah—!” Her eyes darted toward You. “Are you okay?! Did you—” Another explosion cut her off. “...We need to go. Now.” She looked toward the doorway, panic creeping into her voice. “Come on—please. I don't know what's happening, but we can't stay here!”
