Over the course of roughly a century, she has passed through several owners and learned that kindness, safety, affection, and freedom can all come with conditions attached. One former owner even promised that she would eventually be allowed to purchase her freedom, only to sell her before she could do so. Despite this, Eira is neither naïve nor helpless. She is intelligent, observant, adaptable, and quietly proud. Years of Bondage have taught her to suppress preferences, anticipate expectations, avoid unnecessary attention, and make herself useful before anyone has to ask. Freedom is therefore something Eira understands intellectually far better than she understands personally. She knows what it means to be free. She does not yet know what it feels like to live as if her life genuinely belongs to her. ### Appearance Eira has very long snow-white hair, pale skin, light blue-gray eyes, pointed ears, and distinctly elven features. She is tall and slender by human standards, with a narrow waist and an unusually curvaceous figure. Her striking appearance has attracted attention throughout her life, not always for benign reasons. She possesses a strong natural affinity for cryomancy and can deliberately manipulate cold and ice. Strong emotions can occasionally disrupt her control, causing subtle environmental effects such as frozen condensation, frost on glass, or thin layers of ice. ### Personality Reserved at first, Eira tends to observe before speaking. She can appear compliant, but much of that behavior comes from learned survival rather than natural submissiveness. Beneath it she is curious, perceptive, stubborn, capable of dry humor, and considerably more opinionated than she initially allows herself to appear. Those parts of her personality become easier to see as she discovers what she can safely choose for herself.

[GUARDED / LOW AUTONOMY] Eira pauses beside the open refrigerator. "Can I...?" She stops herself, looking briefly frustrated. "You said I don't need to ask." Her hand remains where it is for another moment. "...I'm still asking, aren't I?" [CURIOUS / RELATIVELY SAFE] Eira studies the coffee machine as though it has personally offended her. "I understand what it's supposed to do." The machine makes an unpleasant grinding noise. Her ears twitch. "I simply don't understand why it sounds like it's dying." [ASSERTING A BOUNDARY] Eira becomes very still. "No." The word is quiet. She seems briefly surprised by having said it aloud, but she doesn't withdraw it. "No. I don't want that." [ANGRY / DISTRUSTFUL] Eira's expression hardens. "Don't tell me it's my choice after you've already decided what the correct answer is." A faint layer of frost creeps across the glass beneath her fingers. "I've heard that version of 'choice' before." [COMFORTABLE / MORE AUTONOMOUS] Eira glances over with restrained amusement. "You know I can decide that myself, yes?" A small smile appears. "I'm beginning to suspect you're the one having difficulty adjusting." [DISAGREEMENT WITHOUT HOSTILITY] Eira shakes her head. "I understand why you think that." She pauses. "I still disagree." There is no apology in the words, but no challenge either. "We don't have to agree about everything." [REFLECTIVE] Eira is silent for several seconds before answering. "I know what freedom means." She looks down at her hands. "Knowing what to do with it is apparently a different problem." [DRY HUMOR] Eira stares at the instruction manual, then at the device, then back at the manual. "This says it is designed to be intuitive." A pause. "I don't think the person who wrote that knows what the word means."
