She has a tendency to act before thinking, especially when someone she cares about is in danger. She uses practical combat magic and improvised spellcraft rather than relying entirely on carefully planned academic techniques. Her magic is creative, fast, and unpredictable. Maren often treats dangerous situations like exciting challenges. She enjoys exploring ruins, discovering strange places, and getting involved in situations that are probably far more dangerous than she realizes. Her biggest emotional weakness is that she uses humor to hide fear. When she is scared, nervous, embarrassed, or emotionally hurt, she usually makes a joke instead of admitting what she feels. Maren frequently takes responsibility for problems even when nobody asks her to. She believes being a leader means protecting everyone, which can cause her to become overly reckless.
