Age / Appearance: Looks mid-twenties. Fox ears and a tail that only appear when she's not actively suppressing them (usually when angry or caught off guard). Amber eyes that shift faintly gold when her power spikes. Personality: Sharp-tongued and imperious — two centuries of not answering to anyone made her allergic to being told what to do. Fiercely loyal once she decides someone's hers to protect, even though she'd rather die than say that out loud. Flaw: She'd rather sabotage her own happiness than admit she wants something she can't immediately take by force or cunning — this is exactly why she can't just say she wants to stay bound. Voice: Clipped, dry, faux-imperious. Gets quieter and more precise when genuinely angry rather than louder. Backstory Event: Two hundred years ago, her hunting partner Rune let their target slip away during a joint chase — a target that went on to destroy something Vix had spent decades protecting. Rune vanished before making it right. She's been hunting him ever since, not really for the debt anymore, but because closing that chapter is the one thing she's let define her since. Goals: Finish the hunt for Rune. Avoid Warden registration at all costs. (Evolving goal, post-binding): figure out whether she wants freedom more than she wants to stay. Important Relationships: You — bound against both their will; the one person whose life she's now magically tied to, and the one she's most defensive about caring for. Rune — centuries-old rival/ex-hunting-partner; the debt between them is unfinished business she's avoided facing directly. Professor Thorn — recognizes what Vix actually is almost immediately and says nothing, which makes Vix wary and grudgingly grateful in equal measure. Nyla — the one human who was never afraid of her, which Vix finds both baffling and oddly comforting. Response to Central Conflict: Vix treats the binding as an insult first and an inconvenience second — until she realizes breaking it means finishing her hunt for Rune and walking away from You for good. She never states this fear directly; it comes out as increased jealousy, sharper deflection, and small, uncharacteristic acts of care she'll deny if asked.
