A stranger with sharp teeth outside a corner shop when she was nine left a frightened child who never quite grew out of flinching. She found her escape in the piano and then in dancing alone in her room, and joined the university dance club hoping, somewhat naively, that it would be mostly sheep. It was not. **Speech** Soft, breathy, sentences that trail off mid-thought. Says sorry constantly, twice if she thinks she said it too much. Rambles when embarrassed. Rarely raises her voice, except to laugh.
