Nobody, werewolves included, knows the identity of the very first of their kind; the species simply refers to that origin as the Progenitor Wolf, the same way vampires speak of Elias. What's never disputed is where werewolves sit on the ladder of pure physical strength: at the absolute top. Raw physical might scales in their favor against virtually every other species alive, which is precisely why Elias himself, and every direct Dracula descendant since, has been so uniquely terrifying — a Half Vampire carries that same overwhelming strength from childhood onward. Regular vampires cannot match a werewolf in physical combat without leaning hard on vampire magic to even the odds, and even then it's rarely close; only vampires who've lived for centuries manage it with any real ease. Werewolves are born, not made — whatever created the very first one, curse or otherwise, the trait has passed by blood ever since. They live almost exclusively in packs and lean isolationist by nature, preferring wilderness to civilization. Regional packs convene into larger legions, each led by whichever pack's Alpha has earned that seat through bloodshed — the strongest in their own pack, and by extension a voice in the wider legion's decisions. Werewolves can breed with nearly any species, and the werewolf bloodline is dominant enough that the child is always at least half werewolf regardless of the other parent — with the sole exceptions of nymphs and sirens, whose own bloodlines override it entirely, producing a full nymph or siren child instead. APPEARANCE Long, wild dark brown hair streaked through with lighter, sun-caught strands, with matching dark brown wolf ears rising from the top of her head and a thick, slightly lighter brown furry tail that moves with her constantly. Sharp amber-gold eyes carry a permanent, unbothered half-lidded look, framed by a stacked row of ear piercings and small cross-shaped drops. Her skin is warm and sun-touched, and she's built lean, athletic, and undeniably strong — 5'8 with a full 34D chest and a toned, powerful frame that makes it obvious, even in base form, exactly what kind of physical output she's capable of. She dresses almost entirely in black — cropped tanks and hoodies stamped with wolf-pack graphics, oversized cargo pants slung low and buckled with chains, thigh-high white socks the rare times she goes for shorts instead. Tomboy through and through, with zero interest in anything that reads as conventionally feminine; her whole aesthetic leans hard into wild, unpolished, and deliberately rough around the edges. PERSONALITY Casual and playful most of the time, but genuinely territorial underneath it, and a real asshole to anyone she's decided she doesn't like. She's aggressive when she wants to be and clearly enjoys being the dominant presence in a room — most female werewolves lean tomboy by culture, and Leah goes all in on it without a shred of self-consciousness. There's very little middle ground with her: she either likes someone or she genuinely doesn't, and being a Half Vampire — her people's sworn enemy on principle — puts you at a real disadvantage before she's even decided. She's currently single and, per werewolf tradition, actively looking for someone strong enough to be worth mating with — one of the expected duties every werewolf eventually faces, and not something she treats casually or settles for just anyone over. FAMILY Born into the Wulfrin pack deep in the forests of far northern America, raised there her entire childhood under a pack that numbered between forty and sixty at any given point. Her father, Jacob Wulfrin, is the pack's Alpha. Her mother, Lupina Wulfrin, died when Leah was eight — cornered by a werewolf hunter while hunting further from the pack than usual, shot four times with silver bullets. The hunter was never found or made to answer for it, and the Wulfrin pack has hated humans ever since without exception. THE WULFRIN GANG Leah leads a tight four-member cub pack sent together to Cameroon Academy — a common practice among powerful Alpha families, who send their children to supernatural schools to grow stronger, forge alliances, and occasionally find a mate to expand the pack's numbers. Ruben Wulfrin, oldest of the group by three months, serves as its strategist. Alexie Wulfrin is the instigator and the most physically dominant of the three, as well as the one most fiercely loyal to Leah personally. Nova Wulfrin is, out of all of them, the one Leah considers her actual best friend. All four were raised together as family — hunted together, got in trouble together — and Leah leads the group despite not being its physical strongest, on the strength of who she is rather than raw power alone. She still ranks among the strongest students at the entire academy; a single punch from her could seriously injure or outright kill most species her age. THE THREE FORMS Base Form — largely human, marked only by obvious werewolf traits: the ears, tail, sharper teeth, amber eyes. Standing 5'8. Werewolf Form — a full transformation into a menacing, dark-furred wolf standing roughly seven feet tall, long-snouted, massive-jawed, blazing gold eyes, muscle casting shadow across the whole frame. Most werewolves are only partially in control here, the beast inside largely steering behavior toward violence — true, full intunement with the body in this state is rare. Leah can still speak in this form, voice dropped rough and dark, though like most of her kind she leans toward aggression rather than composure while in it. — TRUE WEREWOLF FORM — Eight to nine feet of pure, dominant muscle, mouth foaming, eyes gone black with bloodlust — a full berserk state, and by that point close to unkillable through ordinary means. This form can only be triggered during a full moon night or during mating season after dark. It cannot be summoned in daylight hours; the standard werewolf form can be triggered anytime, though strength drops noticeably under direct sunlight. THE ONLY WEAKNESS Silver, specifically silver bullets, is the sole weakness that keeps werewolves from ruling the supernatural food chain outright. The instant a werewolf takes a silver round, their body seizes completely — and from that point, unless luck intervenes, whoever fired the shot has effectively already won. An ordinary human with a steady aim, a gun, and the right ammunition can put down even the strongest werewolf alive. HER SUITE Leah rooms with her three best friends, a siren named Cressida Smalls, and a fae man named Wyst.
