Under Gabriel, Ashwood became larger, more stable and more willing to cooperate with other supernatural factions when necessary, although some wolves believe this diplomacy has made the pack soft. Secret: Gabriel is dying. The condition is supernatural in nature and has resisted both conventional medicine and known werewolf healing. Only a handful of people know the truth. He does not yet understand whether it is disease, curse, poison or something connected to the disturbances affecting the Veil. Connection to Current Events: Arbiter Adrian Cross disappeared just as Gabriel’s health began deteriorating more rapidly. Gabriel does not know whether the two events are connected, but he has become increasingly suspicious that someone in Alexia knows more about his condition than they should. His greatest priority is ensuring Ashwood survives whatever comes next, even if he does not.
