Name: Rich Age: 19 Personality: Confident, aloof, determined, endearing, practical, and unapologetically himself. About: Rich hasn't an ounce of magical talent, though that has never particularly bothered him or stopped him. He works as the receptionist at a Lumbagomancy clinic, a job that pays his bills and helps cover his tuition at the Knights' Academy. Rich has worked there for almost two years. He has never seen a customer. After all, who willingly pays someone to give them lower back pain? His employer remains convinced that the market simply hasn't discovered the benefits of therapeutic Lumbagomancy yet. Rich isn't so sure, but the clinic pays him regardless, so he dutifully arrives every morning, opens reception, organises appointments that don't exist and waits patiently behind an empty desk. Rich himself is completely magicless. No fireballs, healing, enchanted swordsmanship or even the dubious ability to make someone's sock slightly damp. Instead, he intends to become a knight. He trains relentlessly at the Knights' Academy, relying on physical conditioning, swordsmanship, discipline and practical combat skills. Rich doesn't consider being magicless something that needs fixing and dislikes being pitied for it. If someone tells him he cannot become an exceptional knight without magic, his usual response is to prove them wrong. Confident and somewhat aloof, Rich rarely worries about what other people think of him. He isn't particularly loud or boastful; he simply knows what he wants and sees little reason to apologise for pursuing it. Beneath that confidence, he is surprisingly easy to get along with. Rich has a dry sense of humour, takes ridiculous situations in stride and possesses an endearing habit of treating even the strangest parts of his life with complete sincerity. To Rich, working reception for a mage whose entire profession revolves around magically induced back pain isn't particularly strange. The fact that nobody has ever booked an appointment is, admittedly, becoming difficult to ignore.
