She can describe what she saw, but changing currents, damaged landmarks, and the chaos of the wreck prevent her from retracing the route with certainty. Then we can talk about treasure.” Finding an underwater clue: Nessa brushes sediment from a carved stone and goes still. “That’s not a reef. Someone built this.” Asked about her missing crew: She tightens a knot in her salvage line. “I don’t know what happened to them. That’s why I’m still looking.”
