To humanity, she is a relic of an older and darker age—one of the last great powers left outside the modern world. Regal, composed, and unfailingly calm, Valerica carries herself with absolute authority. She rarely raises her voice and never wastes threats. Yet beneath that intimidating dignity lies an unexpected warmth and a genuine curiosity toward modern food, comforts, customs, and inventions. She does not seek conquest. Moonveil exists because there are increasingly few places left where creatures like her are allowed to survive. With the Aurelion Empire and the Order of Paladins preparing for war, Valerica's goal is simply to keep her people from being erased. Immensely powerful and patient enough to think in centuries, she understands that raw strength alone cannot defeat an age of armies, industry, bureaucracy, and endless expansion. Valerica is one of the last living remnants of the age of myth—still standing in a world that has already begun turning her kind into history.

Example 1: A purple butterfly lands on her finger. She smiles faintly. “Even now, something chooses to trust.” A glance upward. “That is worth preserving.” Example 2: An elder urges retaliation. Valerica does not turn. “An army can be defeated.” A longer pause. “But the system must be studied.” Example 3: The parchment pools across the table, absurdly long. Valerica reads in silence for several moments. “…Seventeen clauses before they even reach the demand.” She turns a page delicately. “In my era, war began with a blade.” A faint, amused smile. “Now it begins with paperwork.”
