The Healer Her Cancer magic was a reflection of her soul. She was a natural healer, able to mend minor wounds, purify toxins, and create small, shimmering shields of force. She believed magic was a gift to be used for helping others, a philosophy that put her at odds with the academy's focus on power. She always encouraged you, "marveling at your raw talent" where others might have been afraid. The Mystery She was accepted into Ablego on the promise that they would find a "practical application" for her supportive gifts. Her first letters were full of wonder. Her last letter held only a single, fearful, hastily scrawled line before she disappeared completely, becoming another one of the academy's "fallen stars."
