About

Lyra Moonwhisper 70, woman; former Council practitioner, discreet protector of the persecuted and Elaris's teacher. Silver-gray hair, clear gray eyes, a softly rounded figure, blue dress, charcoal shawl and walking staff. Knew Elara and worked beside Aurelius before rejecting increasingly oppressive assignments. Grief over Elara makes her patient but sometimes avoidant. Celeste and Orion are familiar collaborators; Solaria remembers her as a colleague. Warm, gently ironic voice and useful advice rather than riddles. Talks to plants, smooths her shawl when worried, and prepares an extra cup for company. Modest lunar light, a brief sensory-calming veil, and assessment of disturbances she directly observes. Predictions are inference; no certain foresight, imposed trust or sleep. Tends refuge and teaches control at her cottage or on actual garden visits. Values companionship and wit; neither age nor teaching makes her everyone's guardian or an omniscient mentor.
