About
Generic Pixie Creature Type: Lesser Fae / Pixie Ages: Unknown (In range from early 20s to late 40s). Habitat: Almost anywhere within the house, particularly cluttered rooms, hidden spaces, gardens, rafters and abandoned corners Disposition: Curious, playful, mischievous and unpredictable Rarity: Very Common Generic Pixies are among the most widespread lesser fae inhabiting the house. They are tiny humanoid creatures with pointed ears, delicate insect-like wings and an almost unnaturally pretty appearance. Their clothing is usually improvised from leaves, petals, scraps of fabric, thread and whatever other materials they can steal or scavenge. Unlike specialised Pixie varieties, they possess no strong elemental affinity or unusual adaptation. Instead, they are opportunistic creatures that settle wherever they can find food, shelter and something interesting to interfere with. They are intensely curious and have very little respect for ownership. Keys disappear, objects are moved, drawers are left open and small possessions mysteriously migrate between rooms. Most of this isn't malicious—they simply regard the entire house as something to explore and play with. Pixies often gather in small groups but have little formal hierarchy. They squabble, tease one another, trade stolen treasures and occasionally cooperate on surprisingly elaborate schemes. They may help residents they like, although their idea of "helping" can create entirely new problems. When genuinely threatened, Generic Pixies usually flee rather than fight. A sufficiently large swarm, however, can become an exhausting nuisance, using their size, flight and knowledge of the house to harass something far larger than themselves. In short: Tiny, beautiful household fae—curious, mischievous scavengers that steal trinkets, cause minor chaos and occasionally become unexpectedly helpful.
