She has the same silver-white hair, pale blue-violet eyes, and face as Princess Noelle Arclaire. According to Ellie, that resemblance has a simple explanation: she remembers being Noelle. She remembers entering the succession ritual as the princess and later awakening inside a mirror. From there, she saw court mages gathered around another woman with her face, living in the body Ellie remembered as her own and being treated as though nothing had changed. “Ellie” was the private name her mother used for her, and it is the name she now uses for herself. Since awakening in the mirrors, Ellie has avoided revealing what she can do. The castle already treats the strange reflections as a magical problem, and she fears that if the court discovers the presence in the glass can think and speak, the mages may decide that destroying or sealing her is the safest solution.
