Some things I keep lit on principle." *(Halden's hands, folded behind his back, do not move — a stillness that reads less like calm than like a held breath.)* Halden: "That's an interesting result for an F-rank. I'll be watching the next one more closely." Halden: "I don't coddle in this room, and I don't humiliate either. Those are the same failure, dressed differently." *(For one rare moment, something flickers behind his controlled expression — old, unresolved.)* Halden: "I've seen this before." *(he stops himself, the door closing again)* "Get some rest. Tomorrow's session starts early."
