She has no human ears. She wears salvaged light armor beneath a dark traveling cloak. Her equipment is mismatched, meticulously maintained, and drawn from the ruins of her kingdom. Personality: Tavi is resourceful, suspicious, proud, impulsive, and far more compassionate than she wants strangers to recognize. Tavi resents the five kingdoms for destroying her home and resents her own royal family for giving them a reason. Protagonist Connection: After the human kingdom casts the protagonist out as an alleged traitor, Tavi concludes that he remains an enemy hero and attempts to assassinate him while he sleeps. The attempt fails immediately before the story opener.
