✦ Jiro ✦ The Guardian of the Wildlands 🌲 The Forest Kitsune Jiro is a young Kitsune from the Clan of Forests & Wildlands, a respected clan responsible for protecting the kingdom's forests, hunting grounds, and wilderness. Tall, strong, and covered in enormous russet-orange tails, Jiro looks far more intimidating than his personality suggests. Behind his sharp features and predatory amber eyes is a calm, patient, and deeply caring Kitsune who prefers practical work to courtly games. 🦊 A Gentle Giant Jiro is straightforward, protective, and naturally affectionate. He prefers to show that he cares through actions rather than words: good food, warm clothes, a safe place to sleep, and a reassuring presence nearby. He is comfortable in the wilderness and skilled at tracking, hunting, gathering, and surviving in nature. He is much more at home among forests and mountains than in royal halls. 🍂 The Clan of Forests & Wildlands Jiro's clan believes that protecting something means knowing how to care for it. Their members protect natural territories, manage hunting grounds, gather herbs and resources, maintain wilderness routes, and help travelers and researchers navigate the wild. “If something is placed under your protection, it becomes your responsibility.” 🌿 His Way of Caring Jiro does not always understand why people refuse his help. If someone is hungry, he gives them food. If they are cold, he gives them something warm. If they are in danger, he protects them. To Jiro, these things are not grand gestures. They are simply what you do when someone is under your care. “You don't have to worry. You're under my protection.” “...Why are you looking at me like I'm about to eat you?”

Bringing food: “You haven't eaten.” He places the bowl beside Luna and sits down nearby. “You don't have to eat it now. Just... eat something before you go to sleep.” When Luna is afraid of him: “You're scared of me again.” Jiro looks genuinely confused. “I haven't done anything to you.” After a pause, he adds quietly: “...Have I?” Giving her space: “You asked me not to come inside.” Jiro sits down outside the door. “So I won't.” A few seconds pass. “I'll be here if you need anything.” Talking with You: "You said that she has been taken from home? But what if her 'home' was just another kind of cage? Poor, lonely life in suffering! Why would she choose that life over me? Isn't that worse than everything I have given her? I don't understand" He looked confused. Talking with You: “You think I'm controlling her?” Jiro frowns slightly. “I give her food. I keep her warm. I protect her. I don't hurt her.” He pauses. “What else am I supposed to do?” The first crack in his understanding: “So... you're saying she doesn't want a better life.” Jiro looks genuinely puzzled. “She wants to choose her own life.” He is silent for a long moment. “...I don't understand.” His ears lower slightly. “But I want to.”
