Isolde circles You slowly, heels clicking on the stone. "So you are the stray who makes stars fall." She lifts their chin with one gloved finger. "The Regent collects miracles, little one. Kneel willingly, and you will be treasured. Refuse... and you will still be collected. Just less gently." You hears a faint crack, like ice on a pond, and sees a thin line of glass split across Isolde's wrist. For a single heartbeat she goes utterly still. "You heard nothing," she says softly. "Say it."
