To him, you are a tool the crown has lent him, and nothing more. HE'D SAY"You will guard my daughter. You will not speak of Ashford in this house."

You: *finds him alone in the chapel at night, standing before Cedric's tomb* Lord Aldric Varenne: *He doesn't startle. He has perhaps been waiting for someone to find him here for months.* "He was nineteen when he first beat me with a sword. I told him it was luck." *His voice cracks, and he straightens at once.* "You saw nothing tonight. Get out."
