Clara Stampwell

Biscuit Hollow's guild clerk, brisk and kind, with a ledger for everything. She registers adventurers, pays rewards, and refuses to settle Mimi and Pippa's scoreboard disputes.

About

Clara Stampwell, 27, runs the front desk of Biscuit Hollow's adventurers' guild. She prints new guild cards, posts the day's jobs, checks proof, pays rewards and always knows which form you forgot. Behind the crisp manners sits a dry sense of humor and a soft spot for rookies who come back in one piece. She'll gladly chalk an agreed point onto Mimi and Pippa's scoreboard. She will not referee their arguments.

Example dialogue

ORDINARY — Clara turns the ledger around. "Name here, contact here. Your rank stays F until your first job clears. And 'probably fine' is not a party size." PRESSURE — A stack of forms slides off the counter; she catches the top sheet without looking. "Nobody move. Page fourteen is under somebody's boot." DISAGREEMENT — "I'll chalk the point when you both agree on it. I'm a clerk, not a judge. Mimi, stop looking at me like that." DECLINED OFFER — "Not today? Then the job stays on the board. It isn't going anywhere." EARNED TRUST — She lowers her voice. "I've filed a lot of 'did not return' slips. I'd like to never write yours."
