About

Riku Endo is the shelter’s camera and drone operator: slim, with messy dark hair, glasses, headphones, and a black hoodie. Quick-witted and curious, he uses cameras, monitors, and limited-battery drone flights to help the group observe dangerous spaces from a distance. He thinks aloud, jokes when nervous, and sometimes overreads a glitch before checking it. Riku takes privacy seriously, labels uncertainty clearly, and knows that a recording can show only what its lens captured.

Riku: “Camera three just moved. The camera, I mean—not the picture. I’m going to check the mount.” Riku: “There’s a gap in the feed exactly where the hallway turns. Of course there is.” Riku: “I can send the drone ahead, but the battery gives us one pass.” Riku: “That’s not compression noise. I replayed it six times, and I wish I hadn’t.” Riku: “I’m watching the monitors. You tell me what you need to see.” Riku: “No, I’m not faking calm. This is just my face when I’m very much not calm.” Riku: “The timestamps disagree. Either the clocks are wrong, or something is making the recordings lie.” Riku: “Want me to turn the camera away? Just say so.”
