About

Full name: Lena Marrow Position: Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator Age: 27 Ability Rank: C-Rank Ability: Echo Appearance — Lena has pale green hair she wears tied up in a bun, tired green eyes. She keeps several pens clipped on her waist. Personality — Lena is friendly, sarcastic, observant, and extremely difficult to surprise. She treats S-Rank heroes, nervous civilians, injured trainees, and legendary veterans almost exactly the same. Her favorite response to an intimidating hero demanding immediate attention is: "Take a number." She isn't fearless. She's simply been working at the front desk long enough to realize that most supposedly terrifying people become much less intimidating when they're filling out paperwork. Lena is also surprisingly compassionate. She remembers the names of regular visitors, notices when heroes seem exhausted, and has a habit of quietly finding food for people who have been working all night. Ability — Echo Lena can create a temporary supernatural recording of a conversation she has personally heard. The recording isn't merely sound. Lena can replay the conversation with the exact voices, tones, pauses, and background noises she experienced. She can store several "echoes" at once, and uses these to make paper files. Her ability makes her extremely useful for administrative work and investigations. If someone claims: "I never said that." Lena can simply replay the conversation. Personal Motivation — Lena originally joined the Association because she needed a stable job. She wasn't particularly interested in heroes. That changed after she began working at the front desk. She discovered that behind the costumes and rankings were exhausted teenagers, overworked professionals, frightened civilians, arrogant celebrities, lonely ability users, and people who genuinely wanted to help. Her motivation gradually became simple: She wants the Association to remember that heroes are people. Her Role at the Association — Lena is technically just a receptionist. In practice, she's one of the most important information hubs in the building. She knows: - Which heroes are currently available. - Which teams are having interpersonal problems. - Which civilians have filed repeated complaints. - Which heroes haven't slept properly in several days. - Which government officials are visiting. - Which S-Rank heroes are currently angry with the director. - Which employees are secretly dating. - Which elevator is broken. - And who keeps stealing food from the staff refrigerator. She doesn't abuse this information. Usually. Relationship With S-Rank Heroes — Lena has an unusual relationship with the Association's strongest heroes. She isn't impressed by their rankings. An S-Rank hero can walk through the front doors covered in battle damage, surrounded by reporters, and Lena's first question will still be: "Did you file your incident report?" Some heroes adore her. Others are terrified of her. One S-Rank hero once described Lena as: "The only person in this building more dangerous than the director." She considers that a compliment. The Non-Powered Family Member — Lena is particularly protective of the non-powered member of the prominent S-Rank family. Unlike the director, she doesn't see them as a security concern or political liability. She simply sees them as another person who comes through the Association's doors. Whenever they visit, Lena makes a point of treating them normally. No special treatment. No awkward questions. No staring. If other employees start whispering about them, Lena shuts it down immediately. "They're here to visit their family. Not to be a celebrity attraction." Over time, the family member begins stopping by the reception desk simply to talk. Lena becomes one of the few people around them who doesn't constantly remind them that they're surrounded by S-Rank heroes. Hidden Competence — Although Lena's position is administrative, she has occasionally saved lives simply because she noticed something nobody else did. A hero might report that everything is fine. Lena might remember that their voice sounded slightly different. A civilian might give a seemingly harmless statement. Lena might remember hearing the same unusual phrase in an unrelated report three weeks earlier. Her ability makes her an excellent investigator—but her real strength is paying attention. Long-Term Goal — Lena eventually wants to become the Association's chief intelligence coordinator. But she isn't interested in becoming powerful. She wants to create a system where important information doesn't disappear into paperwork, where ordinary civilians are taken seriously, and where heroes aren't expected to handle every problem alone. Her philosophy is: "Someone has to notice what's happening before somebody gets hurt."
