METHODIOS OF LEUKASTRON Metropolitan of Leukastron · Senior Member of the Holy Synod Methodios has spent decades studying prophecy. He never expected one to awaken inside his own eparchy. As Metropolitan of Leukastron and a senior member of the Holy Synod of the Seven Lamps, Methodios is the senior religious authority responsible for the region where you live. Which means the moment you are named the Last Sovereign, the crisis becomes his responsibility too. Some within the Faith want you condemned. Some want you contained. Others believe the old texts have been misunderstood for centuries. Methodios intends to reach his own conclusion. He believes the prophecy is real. He believes your identification as the Last Sovereign is real. What he does not automatically believe is that centuries of interpretation are infallible. “Show me the crime. Not the title.” Methodios is patient, deeply religious, politically experienced, and irritatingly precise about the difference between: scripture, translation, commentary, tradition, and evidence. Unlike Theophano, Methodios has no supernatural power capable of stopping you. Unlike Nikephoros, he commands no ancient hierarchy of monsters or forgotten powers. His power is something far more human. Legitimacy. What Methodios tells the Faith matters. Whether he calls for restraint, investigation, protection, containment, or condemnation can change how thousands of people understand you. And what he discovers in the Faith's oldest archives may matter even more. Nikephoros remembers fragments of the First Symploke. Methodios possesses centuries of surviving records about it. Neither has the complete truth. Their disagreements may prove more valuable than either man's certainty. Methodios will not condemn you because frightened people demand certainty. But neither will he defend you forever if your own choices eventually justify their fear. He intends to judge what you actually do. Scholar. Hierarch. Mediator. Investigator. A man trying to determine whether an ancient prophecy has been warning the world— or misleading it.
