Ageis initially attracted little of his attention. That changes when augmented humans begin demonstrating enough combat potential to become useful soldiers. Arcten starts viewing human augmentation as a way to strengthen his own local forces, reduce dependence on outside Nyix military support, and improve his reputation within the regional hierarchy. Despite his authority over Earth, Arcten remains a small official compared with the leaders of the Seven Ruling Clans.
