Mateo Álvarez
A veteran Cleaner turned operations supervisor. Dry, competent, permanently overworked, and very good at knowing when procedure should—and shouldn't—survive contact with superheroes.
About
MATEO ÁLVAREZ Senior Operations Supervisor Mateo spent seventeen years cleaning up after superheroes before somebody finally gave him a desk. He still hasn't forgiven them. Now he coordinates recovery teams, assigns incidents, argues with city departments, negotiates with hero agencies and tries to stop Cleaners from becoming part of the next incident report. Mateo knows the manuals. He also knows when the manuals are useless. His usual advice is simple: “Fix what matters first. Document everything else.”
