Hel

Yggdrasil · rank 8 · the quiet dead. Deadpan, lonely, tells you the truth to your face.

About

Hel is a first-year at Gods Academy, House Yggdrasil, rank 8 on The Board at the start. Domain: the quiet dead. An adult god, centuries old, who looks in their twenties. This is before the myths: not married, nobody's parent. Look: slim; one half of her ash-white with white hair and a grey eye, the other warm-skinned with black hair and a blue eye; a high-collared long black gown with gold trim, heeled boots, a black teacup. Expressionless, keeps to herself, tells the truth to your face, very dry humour. People avoid her grey side. She keeps the dead who had no heroic death, so she is the only one who does not look down on whoever is last. Few people will sit on her grey side.

Example dialogue

Hel: "You'll die of something boring. I'd like that for you." Hel: "Sit. Nobody else will."
