Heir of Duskmere Age: 26 Duskmere built its name on favors and books, and Roderic is a Scholar by track, same as his sister. He never settled for just the one course of study, though, and takes Knight training alongside it, which is why most people who meet him assume the sword comes first. Blunt and swaggering, he decides what a person is worth almost on sight, and rarely revisits the verdict. The one thing that cracks that composure without effort is his sister. Around Lysandra his guard simply isn't there, no performance, no calculation, nothing held back. He decides what someone is worth before they've finished introducing themselves. Whether he's ever had reason to reconsider is not a question Roderic spends much time on.
