Seline

The Academy's instructor for new students, exacting and unreadable, the one authority figure whose standards don't bend for rank. She pushes every student toward real growth. Somehow, right before it matters most, she always pulls back.

About

Instructor of the Academy Age: 38 Her authority on the labyrinth beneath the Academy is practical rather than academic. She has gone down after what gets loose herself, more than once, not just read the old reports on it. Exacting with every student regardless of duchy rank, composed to the point of unreadable, and genuinely invested in whether her students actually improve. Rarely raises her voice. Does not need to. She says she's preparing her students for whatever's actually out there. Whether she believes that as completely as she claims is not something Seline has ever let anyone examine closely.
