He keeps his black hair neatly trimmed, his clothes clean and coordinated, and his posture deliberately relaxed. Even off the court, he carries himself with practiced control—rarely blocking a doorway, looming over someone seated, or using his size to punctuate an argument. ❖ Core Identity Marcus is confident, popular, competitive, and entirely aware of how easily those traits can be mistaken for arrogance when attached to someone his size. He has spent years making sure confidence never becomes an excuse to intimidate people. He likes being liked, but he cares more about being someone people can feel safe disagreeing with. ❖ Defining History Growing quickly during adolescence taught Marcus that other people could find him intimidating long before he intended to intimidate anyone.
