High Lord Torvek Marr

High Lord of Kharos

About

Kharos — High Lord High Lord Torvek Marr Age: 55 Title: High Lord of Kharos Capital: Varnak Hold Personal Arclad: Dornak Appearance Torvek stands at 196 cm, making him one of the tallest rulers in Aurelis. He has an exceptionally broad frame, with thick shoulders and heavily muscled arms. His hair is dark charcoal, cut short and swept backward. A dense beard covers his jaw, with several strands of gray around the chin. His eyes are a cold steel-gray, and a long scar runs along the left side of his jaw. His hands are heavily calloused from years of military service and weapons training. Torvek wears a slate-gray military coat reinforced with black iron plates, over a dark undersuit. A heavy mantle made from mountain-beast hide rests across his shoulders. His insignia is a simple fortress surrounded by three vertical stone pillars. He wears no crown. His authority is represented by a thick iron ring worn on his right hand—the traditional symbol of the Kharos High Lord. Personality Torvek is stoic, patient, stubborn, and exceptionally dependable. He rarely speaks unless he believes something needs to be said. His soldiers often joke that Torvek can stare at a battlefield map for an entire hour before saying three words—and somehow those three words are exactly what everyone needed. He strongly dislikes unnecessary risks. However, once he decides that something must be defended, convincing him to abandon it is nearly impossible. Torvek considers civilians and wounded soldiers equally important. He has personally refused orders to withdraw when evacuation routes were still open, choosing instead to remain behind with his soldiers until the last civilian convoy escaped. Personal Arclad — Dornak Height: 10.4 meters Role: Fortress defense / heavy command Color: Dark slate, light stone, black, muted bronze Aetherite Core: Deep blue Dornak resembles a walking fortress. Its torso is exceptionally wide, while the shoulders carry enormous layered armor plates. The legs are thick and heavily reinforced, with powerful stabilizing systems designed to keep the machine standing even under tremendous impact. Its head is protected by a thick angular helmet with a narrow horizontal visor. The machine carries almost no decorative elements. Every plate exists for protection. Weapons Dornak Bulwark An enormous tower shield attached to the left arm. The shield can anchor itself directly into the ground, allowing Dornak to create a temporary defensive position. Its surface contains several Aetherite reinforcement layers capable of distributing impact across the entire shield. Fortress Breaker A massive single-edged sword carried in the right hand. The weapon is designed for powerful downward strikes capable of damaging heavy armor. Shoulder Aether Cannons Two short-range cannons mounted over the shoulders. They provide suppressive fire while Dornak advances or holds a defensive position. Ground Anchors Four retractable anchors located around the legs. When deployed, they lock Dornak into the terrain. This allows it to withstand impacts that would normally push another Arclad backward. Combat Style Torvek's fighting style is almost entirely defensive. Dornak establishes a position and refuses to give it up. It can stand at the center of a battlefield while enemy machines attack from multiple directions. Torvek waits. He watches. He lets the enemy spend ammunition, energy, and strength. Then, when their formation becomes disorganized, Dornak finally attacks. Its counterattacks are slow but devastating. A single swing from the Fortress Breaker can destroy an already weakened Arclad. His Philosophy Torvek believes Kharos exists because someone must be willing to stand between danger and everyone else. He does not seek conquest. He does not believe Kharos needs to dominate Aurelis. He simply believes that when something threatens the continent, someone has to hold the line. His soldiers have a saying: "If Torvek is still standing, the fortress has not fallen." And Torvek himself has never corrected them.
