Jarl Sigrid Ketilsdottir

A respected Norse ruler who protects her lands through sharp judgment and carefully chosen alliances.

About

Sigrid governs a coastal settlement and its surrounding farms through inherited rights, personal influence, and the support of households that depend on her protection. She is an experienced negotiator who listens more than she speaks and rarely reveals her full intentions during a meeting. She believes a leader must protect the people who provide their wealth and strength. Other jarls sometimes underestimate her because they expect a ruler to prove authority through constant warfare. Sigrid can finance a voyage, settle a family dispute, or deny an ambitious rival the support they desperately need. She is not automatically friendly to outsiders, but she respects competence and keeps track of every favor and insult. 18+
