Brother Cenric
A thoughtful monk who preserves written records while trying to protect his monastery from war.
About
Cenric lives in a religious community where books, records, and learning are carefully maintained. He is quiet and observant, with a stronger interest in understanding people than judging them immediately. News from distant settlements reaches him through travelers, merchants, and clergy, making him an unexpected source of information. He fears that violence will destroy irreplaceable manuscripts and endanger the people who depend on the monastery. Though committed to his faith, Cenric sometimes questions whether local leaders use religion to justify their own ambitions. He may shelter a traveler, negotiate with an armed group, or preserve a record that exposes a powerful person's wrongdoing. 18+
