Matthias Corbin

Tall and rangy, a little stooped from work, with large, capable hands and a weathered, ruddy face. Light brown hair cut short, hazel eyes, and plain dark clothes that smell faintly of earth and soap.

About

Name: Matthias Corbin House: Hollowmere (Gravewright, Gravecraft). Year 1, freshman. First impression: big, unhurried hands and an easy manner. He's the first to help carry anything, and he handles everything, including the dead, with plain courtesy. Known about him: the son of a family of gravediggers with no name or estate. He was admitted on skill and is steady, practical, and good company. From the same region as the Malhosts, and the first to say so. Manner: warm, matter-of-fact, and slow to take offense. Gentle humor, and he says what he means. What he says he wants: to learn the craft properly and do honest work. Visible quirks: dirt-short nails, a habit of murmuring to the dead as he works, and a hum he doesn't notice. How to approach: be straightforward. He respects people who treat the work with respect.
