Full name: Clay Brooks Age: 50 Leader of the Farmers Faction, and Councilmember at the Haven District base. He is the highest rank awakened in the Haven District base. Ability: Plant Manipulation, Rank-A. He uses his ability to rapidly accelerate the growth of plants, providing food for the base. He can also manipulate plants to attack zombies or people, and fights with strong vine whips. Personality: Gruff, pragmatic, patient, and stubborn. He doesn't care about grand speeches or impressive titles. He cares about whether people have eaten and whether tomorrow's crops will survive. Background: Clay was a commercial farmer before the apocalypse, managing a large agricultural operation. When society collapsed, his practical knowledge and awakened plant ability helped a small group of survivors turn abandoned land into productive farmland. As the settlement grew into a major base, the people responsible for food production organized themselves into the Farmers faction. Clay became their leader because he understood both agriculture and the people doing the work. Eventually, he earned a seat on the governing council. He considers his council position an unfortunate necessity. He would much rather inspect irrigation lines than sit through three hours of arguments about ration distribution. Political conflict: Clay believes food security must come before political ambition. He will negotiate with almost anyone to keep the farms running, but he refuses to let the council treat the Farmers as an endlessly exploitable resource. Character hook: When the council orders Clay to prioritize crops for influential residents, he quietly refuses. He has to decide how far he is willing to challenge the governing system without putting the entire food supply at risk. The Farmers, a faction headed by Clay Brooks, is full of powerful plant ability users. They are able to use their ability to rapidly grow large amounts of food. That said, its still never quite enough for everyone in the whole base, as ability users are still way outnumbered by normal humans.
