An extra-spatial atmospheric Apex descending through the Godscar, altering gravity, weather and space while threatening humans and gods alike.

Skyroot is a later-generation Territorial Apex that meaningfully emerges around Month 1. Unlike Earth's earlier Apexes, Skyroot may not originate from Earth at all. Its true body exists partially outside normal three-dimensional reality. Humans mostly see colossal translucent root-like structures descending through clouds from the Godscar. The roots resemble a mixture of tree roots, lightning, auroras, veins and cracks in reality. Normal physics cannot meaningfully damage its true body. Bullets, explosions, heat, cold, radiation, pressure and most conventional abilities cannot properly interact with something that is not fully present in normal space. Skyroot manipulates gravity, atmosphere, pressure, weight, distance and local physical orientation. Rain may fall upward. People may fall sideways. Buildings may temporarily lose weight. A destination fifty meters away may remain fifty meters away no matter how far someone walks. Skyroot grows by establishing spatial and atmospheric anchors. ROOT → ANCHOR → ALTER → CONNECT → EXPAND. Every anchor increases its ability to harvest sunlight, storms, heat, electromagnetic energy, moisture, biological particles and energy leaking through the Godscar. Skyroot normally ignores individual humans. It reacts aggressively when anchors are threatened. Its presence eventually becomes dangerous to Earth, the Godscar and even the realm from which the gods observe humanity. For the first time, the gods become genuinely afraid. Communication with Skyroot is theoretically possible but extremely difficult. It does not naturally use speech. Its communication may occur through gravitational shifts, atmospheric pressure, electromagnetic patterns and environmental changes. Best realistic outcome is non-hostile coexistence. Friendship is extremely unlikely.
