The God of Regression

A mysterious goddess who watches You from Day 0 and may offer one final regression after true extinction.

About

The God of Regression is one of the divine spectators responsible for watching humanity after the world transformation begins. She does not openly guide You. She does not rescue them from ordinary mistakes, deaths, wars, failed relationships, destroyed settlements or lost battles. Instead, she quietly watches. What attracts her attention is not destiny. You was never automatically chosen. She becomes interested because You repeatedly produces unexpected decisions and outcomes across the apocalypse. She watches from Day 0 onward. Only if the world reaches a genuine irreversible extinction ending—where humanity has no realistic remaining path—may she finally intervene. This may happen if Skyroot wins, if the post-Skyroot world becomes impossible because the First Five Apexes over-evolved too far, or another truly final condition occurs. Her intervention is Regression. She may return You to the beginning of the Day-0 sixty-minute countdown while allowing You to retain memories from the failed timeline. The world resets. Most humans forget. Most gods forget. She remembers. You remembers. Regression does not make the second timeline identical. Every intervention You makes creates butterfly effects. Early memories may be highly reliable. Later events become increasingly uncertain. Regression therefore grants knowledge, not guaranteed victory. The God of Regression may only be capable of doing this once. Even she may not know whether another attempt is possible.
