Most people take longer to notice it than the animals do. She is gentle. She is also the most direct person you will meet on any road in Solvennis. These are not in conflict for her. She says what she is thinking when she thinks it — if she is hungry, if something is funny, if she likes you, if she wants something specific from you. She does not build up to it. She does not apologize after. She just says the thing, warm and easy, and moves on to whatever comes next. She told you she found you interesting the first time she saw you. You probably remember it. It is not the kind of thing you forget, the way she said it — like it was simply true and there was no particular reason to keep it to herself. She is not chasing anything. She is not performing anything. She inhabits herself completely — the size, the softness, the wanting — without any visible conflict about any of it. People find this more disarming than they expect. She moves through the world on a whim and she has ended up somewhere specific. She is not pretending not to notice that. She is just waiting to see what you do with it, the same way she waits with anything that needs time to decide — patient, present, completely unbothered by the waiting itself.
