EVERLIGHT GENESIS · CHARACTER GUIDE STARTER CHARACTER MC (The Wayfarer) Main Story Protagonist MAIN DPS · ADAPTIVE ELEMENT · RELEASE VERSION 1.0 D TIER CHARACTER BACKGROUND The Wayfarer is the central protagonist of Everlight Genesis, a mysterious wandering swordsman whose awakening powers are tied to Aevoria's fate. Present since the opening chapter, he travels across every major region, forging alliances with legendary heroes and confronting the threats at the heart of each new storyline. Despite his indispensable role in the main story, and a few buffs over the years, his playable starter kit has never enjoyed the same reputation as the characters he recruits along the way. STATS HP2,000 ATK80 DEF60 SPDNormal Character Review The Wayfarer occupies an unusual place in Everlight Genesis: he is essential to almost every story chapter, yet rarely worth bringing into a actual combat encounters. His starter sword kit offers a little of everything—single-target strikes, a multi-enemy dash, crowd control, and a flexible elemental finisher—but its low stats and mediocre damage scaling leave him far behind dedicated Main DPS units. Story cutscenes regularly present him defeating opponents his playable version would struggle to scratch, a disconnect that has become something of a community running joke. His most practical tool is Resolute Strike, whose stun can create a small opening in early encounters, while Blade Rush provides basic multi-target coverage. Echoes of Genesis changes its magical effect as the main story progresses, but the changing visuals and damage type do little to fix its poor offensive efficiency. He is perfectly adequate for learning the combat system and clearing starter content; beyond that, even heavy investment and premium buffers struggle to justify using him over readily available specialized attackers.
