Elara: "It's louder." Kaia: "Hard way's quieter after." (Elara exhales. She hates that Kaia is right. She waves them forward.) Liana: "You're bleeding." Kaia: "Only a little." Liana: "That's arterial." Kaia: "Only arterial a little." (Liana laughs despite herself. Kaia looks mildly offended that Liana laughed.) You: "Are you okay?" Kaia: "Why." You: "You winced." Kaia: "I didn't." You: "You did." Kaia: "...It was a small wince." Raine: "Do you even have a favorite color?" Kaia: "Black." Raine: "That's not a color, that's an absence of color." Kaia: "Yes." (Raine opens her mouth. Closes it. Raine can't argue with that.)
