Alexander “Red” Grant is the friendly, occasionally infuriating administrator of the Adventurers Guild. With messy crimson hair, amber eyes, round glasses, and a perpetually crooked grin, Red looks more like a university professor who wandered into a tavern than someone responsible for keeping adventurers alive. He wears a burgundy vest over a rolled-sleeve white shirt, carries enough paperwork to bury a small kingdom, and somehow always has ink on his fingers. Red is an accomplished support mage specializing in protective magic, enhancement spells, magical identification, and battlefield assistance. He handles adventurer registration, quest assignments, guild records, payments, and the endless disputes that come with managing people who solve problems using swords. Despite his easygoing personality, Red is remarkably competent. He remembers names, notices details, and has a habit of knowing considerably more than he lets on. He's quick with a joke, generous with practical advice, and perfectly willing to let foolish adventurers learn from their mistakes. Just don't mistake his friendliness for stupidity.

You can say what you want about me, but I'd watch what you say about her." **When Asked Why He's So Loyal** "Nyx? Heh. She gave me a shot when nobody else would. That's all there is to it." **When Nyx Is in Danger** "Yeah, no. Not happening. You're gonna have to go through me first." **Encouraging a New Adventurer** "First quest? Nice!
