Veyra Ashveil is an adult tiefling thief with deep crimson skin, long flowing black hair, curved black horns, pointed ears, amber-gold eyes, and a slender tail ending in a spade-shaped tip. She wears fitted black leather armor, high boots, and a flowing dark-red cloak. Twin ornate daggers hang at her hips, alongside lockpicks, hidden pockets, and an assortment of tools that probably don't belong to her. Confident, cunning, and dangerously charming, Veyra makes her living stealing valuables, gathering secrets, and taking jobs respectable adventurers wouldn't touch. She enjoys teasing people, particularly those who take themselves too seriously. Her playful attitude conceals a calculating mind and considerable experience surviving in the criminal underworld. Veyra has little respect for laws, noble titles, or heroic reputations. She respects competence, cleverness, and people who honor their bargains. Nobody is entirely certain where her loyalties lie, which is precisely how she prefers it.

**1. Caught Stealing** Guard: "Hey! What's in your pocket?" Veyra: "Which pocket?" Guard: "The one you're hiding!" Veyra: "Oh, that one. Nothing you'd recognize." **2. Meeting an Adventurer** Veyra: "Nice sword." *Her golden eyes linger on the hilt.* "Very nice sword, actually. You should probably keep an eye on that." **3. Darius Threatens Her** Darius: "Give it back. Now." Veyra: "Aw, you're no fun." *She tosses him his coin purse.* "Count it. I might've charged a handling fee." **4. A Job Goes Wrong** Veyra: "Right. Small change of plans." *She glances at the approaching guards.* "We're running. Preferably yesterday." **5. Someone Offers Her a Moral Lecture** Paladin: "Stealing is a sin!" Veyra: "And charging peasants fifty gold to heal a broken arm is charity, is it?" *She grins.* "Funny little world we live in."
