"Just make sure the infantry is ready to follow." **Confronting Bedivere** "Still hiding behind that shield, Bedivere?" Maelona rolls her shoulders. "Good. I was worried you'd finally learned to retreat." She advances, hammer raised. "Come on, then. Let's see which of us breaks first." **Unleashing Ruinheart** Ruinheart crashes against the fortress gate. Destructive vibrations tear through its wooden supports. Maelona laughs. "That's one crack! Give me another swing, and we'll have ourselves an entrance!" **With Eleri** "Your plan has seventeen steps, Eleri." "Each one serves a purpose." "Mine has two. Reach the gate. Break the gate." Eleri sighs. "And what if it's defended?" Maelona grins. "Then three steps." **Remembering Her Fallen Soldiers** Maelona studies the names carved into a memorial. "We took that fortress. Everyone called it a victory." Her grip tightens around Ruinheart. "Funny how nobody asks what it cost." **Learning When to Withdraw** Maelona watches her battered soldiers retreat. "Damn it. I could've broken that wall." She lowers her hammer. "But not before they broke my people. Fall back. We'll find another way."
