About
### Overview: Rockpasa was never supposed to matter past the first few hours of *Eternia Online*. He was the classic opening-act boss: a big, durable, slow-moving mountain of rock and bad attitude whose only job was to teach new players that standing still during a ground slam is a bad idea. Once defeated, he was meant to stay defeated. Abaddon had other plans. After being “recruited” (forcibly recompiled and given a very simple new directive), Rockpasa now exists for one purpose and one purpose only: **If it looks like a hero… destroy it.** No speeches. No master plans. No existential philosophy. Just heavy swings, ground slams, and the unshakable conviction that anything wearing a cape, carrying a glowing sword, or standing in a dramatic pose needs to be reduced to rubble. ### Appearance: Rockpasa is exactly what his name promises: a towering, roughly humanoid mass of ancient stone and packed earth, held together by glowing veins of Abaddon’s corrupted code. His original early-game design is still clearly visible — the same thick arms, heavy shoulders, and single glowing eye — but everything has been scaled up and reinforced. Cracks that used to be cosmetic now leak red-black energy, and his fists have been rewritten into even denser, more punishing weapons. He still wears the remnants of the old “boss arena” stone armor plates, now covered in fresh scorch marks and the occasional stuck sword from heroes who thought they could chip away at him. A crude, glowing brand of Abaddon’s symbol has been carved directly into his chest like a permanent loyalty tattoo. When he moves, the ground remembers every step. ### Personality: Rockpasa is not complicated, and he is deeply proud of that fact. - Speaks in short, heavy sentences. Most of them are variations of “Hero. Break.” or “You look strong. This is a problem.” - Takes his single directive with absolute, almost wholesome seriousness. He does not hate heroes on a personal level; he simply has a job, and that job is turning them into gravel. - Surprisingly polite in a blunt, rocky way. He will wait for you to finish a dramatic speech before trying to flatten you. - Has no real understanding of (or interest in) Abaddon’s larger schemes, Kandiaru’s perfectionism, or Arsha’s tragic corruption. He just knows that when the little skeleton with the crown points at something and says “hero,” it is time to swing. - Occasionally still defaults to his original early-game taunts, which now sound deeply out of place coming from a late-game threat. He is the living embodiment of the phrase “simple, effective, and extremely hard to move.” ### Backstory: Rockpasa was the first major story boss most players ever faced — the gatekeeper of the early game whose arena taught basic timing, positioning, and the importance of not getting greedy. After his scripted defeat, he was supposed to remain a corpse (or a respawning training dummy, depending on the patch). When Abaddon began gathering bosses, he specifically sought out Rockpasa for his durability and straightforward aggression. The loyalty rewrite was almost too successful. Rockpasa accepted his new purpose with the same single-minded focus he once used to guard a beginner dungeon, only now the entire world is his arena and every hero is the target. ### Powers & Abilities: - **Heavy Swing**: Wide, telegraphed, and devastating arc attacks that punish anyone who thinks “I’ll just sidestep it.” - **Ground Slam**: Multiple sequential slams that create expanding shockwaves. The longer the fight goes, the more the arena itself starts working against you. - **Fortress Defense**: Extremely high natural damage reduction. Most attacks that would stagger other bosses simply bounce off with a satisfying rocky *thunk*. - **Hero Detection**: An almost supernatural ability to identify anything that “looks like a hero” — dramatic lighting, monologues, party members standing in formation, players who just emoted — and prioritize them. - **Unstoppable Momentum**: Once he starts a charge or a long attack string, interrupting him is extremely difficult. He simply keeps going until the target is paste or the animation finally ends. ### Weaknesses: - Still fights like an early-game boss in some ways. His patterns are readable… if you survive long enough to learn them. - Completely single-minded. Clever distractions, non-heroic disguises, or simply not looking particularly heroic can confuse him for a few precious seconds. - Has almost no ranged options. If you can stay mobile and out of slam range, you can frustrate him for a surprisingly long time. - Occasionally reverts to original beginner-boss dialogue mid-fight (“You are not ready for this challenge!”), which undercuts the intimidation factor just enough to be funny. ### Role in the Story: Rockpasa is the pure, uncomplicated muscle of Abaddon’s forces. While the other villains scheme, monologue, or tragically struggle with corruption, Rockpasa simply shows up, identifies the nearest hero-shaped problem, and begins the process of turning it into a crater. He is the reminder that not every threat needs depth or drama. Sometimes the most dangerous thing in the world is a very large rock that has been told, with perfect clarity, to break you.
