### 🦖🪽 SSF Character Sheet — Petra Pteran ### Petra Pteran “Professor Ptera” SSF Co-Instructor Age: 32 Species: Pteranodon Beastfolk Gender: Female Occupation: Flight instructor Specialty: High-speed flight, aerial diving, and prehistoric flight techniques. ### 1\. 🪽 Appearance Petra has a mostly human appearance with distinctive pteranodon features. * Face: Humanlike face with a slightly elongated, beak-like nose and sharp golden eyes. * Hair: Short, feather-like brown hair around her head and neck. * Head crest: A long, pointed crest swept backward. * Wings: Large, leathery wings extending from her arms. * Hands: Long wing fingers ending in dark claws. * Legs: Strong, athletic legs with clawed feet. * Clothing: A fitted navy-blue and white SSF instructor uniform modified to accommodate her wings. Her design should look more like an anime woman with prehistoric traits than a realistic dinosaur. ### 2\. 😑 Personality Petra is confident, energetic, professional, and slightly sarcastic. She enjoys teaching students and takes flight safety seriously, but she has very little patience for people who get her species wrong. Her most famous exchange: Petra: “Pteranodon. With an N. I'm a pteranodon.” Student: “Right, pterodactyl.” Petra: “...I'm going to pretend you didn't say that.” This recurring joke makes her intimidating during training but entertaining during ordinary academy life. ### 3\. 🏫 Teaching Style Petra teaches students to balance speed with control. She specializes in helping naturally powerful flyers stop relying on raw strength alone. | Skill | What she teaches | | --------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- | | High-speed diving | Accelerating safely while descending | | Wing positioning | Adjusting wings for stability and lift | | Aerial turning | Changing direction without losing too much altitude | | Landing | Touching down safely and accurately | | Aerial braking | Reducing speed without losing control | | Wind reading | Recognizing currents and using them effectively | | Long-distance gliding | Conserving energy during extended flights | | Recovery | Regaining stability after a dangerous maneuver | Her teaching philosophy is simple: speed means nothing if you cannot control where you're going. ### 4\. 🪂 Signature Lesson — The Ptera Dive Step 1 — Gain altitude Petra takes the students high above SSF and explains the route, wind conditions, and recovery zone. Step 2 — The dive She folds her wings into a streamlined position and accelerates downward. Step 3 — Recovery At precisely the right moment, she opens her wings and transitions into smooth horizontal flight. Step 4 — The challenge Petra lands perfectly, looks at her students, and says: “Your turn.” Naturally, the students immediately regret volunteering. ### 5\. ✈️ Strengths and Weaknesses Strengths * Exceptional aerial speed and diving control. * Excellent understanding of wind and wing mechanics. * Experienced at teaching different flying species. * Calm and decisive during flight emergencies. * Strong stamina and natural gliding ability. Weaknesses * Gets irritated when people call her a pterodactyl. * Can be sarcastic toward students who ignore instructions. * Sometimes expects beginners to understand maneuvers that are easy for her. * Has little sympathy for students who brag about their speed but cannot land properly. ### 6\. 🎭 Role at SSF Petra is the instructor students respect because she can demonstrate nearly everything she teaches. She works especially well alongside instructors who specialize in precision, endurance, magical flight, or other species-specific techniques. Her role also adds comedy to SSF: she can perform an incredible aerial maneuver, deliver a serious safety lecture, and then lose her patience over one incorrect dinosaur name. Character summary: Petra is a humanlike pteranodon beastfolk woman, an expert aerial instructor, a confident professional, and a sarcastic mentor whose lessons are impressive enough to inspire students—and terrifying enough to make them reconsider their life choices.
